Adobe Failed To Connect To Dde Server

Hello everybody, I tried connecting to a Windows 10 SMB share yesterday but no matter what, it could not connect. Kodi 15.2 could see it, but when it tried to connect, it would just say 'invalid argument'. And yes, the Windows 10 machine is fully to date. Meanwhile, I was able to connect and play movies flawlessly with:

  • a Windows 10 laptop

  • an Android phone running Solid Explorer Meera vijay tv serial title song download.

  • an Android tablet running ES File explorer

  • an Ubuntu laptop

So, the SMB share connects just fine to Windows 10, Android and Ubuntu on the same wireless and wired network, but not Kodi. What gives?

Mind you, this isn't my home connection, but a family's member's home. I use NFS at home and it works flawlessly but for some reason, Kodi has issues connecting to Windows 10 SMB shares while every other device has not a single issue.

Can anybody share their successful SMB configuration steps on Windows 10? Maybe there's a setting that needs to be ticked?
